Turkey Day '12

Thanksgiving is my hands-down favorite holiday. A day to do nothing but be thankful for all the Lord has blessed us with. Couple that with family, friends and delicious food and I couldn't be happier. As I heard someone on the radio say this year, Thanksgiving is unique because it is really the only holiday that isn't commercialized. No pressure to figure out what to buy for everyone, no candy that the stores want you to buy and not really an commericals on tv surrounding a hyped-up Thanksgiving...it's nice..

This year, like many years before, we were with my family for Thanksgiving at my aunt and uncle's house. We had a fun group this year, including 3 soccer players from UNA, 2 of which were from Great Britian. Those sweet girls had to put up with deep Southern drawls, American cooking and learning how to play bb-gun golf. I dare say it was an experience they'll never forget!

Aunt Jilly made it down from ATL and the girls loved seeing her!

M was 9 months at her first Thanksgiving this year- LG a mere 4 weeks old and weighing in at 5 lbs! What a difference!!

Wish this sweet girl was closer to us!

And my favorite shot of the day - the girls may look sweet and cute in their smocked outfits with smiling faces, but this is reality :)
